			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div style="text-align: justify;">For those of you who are interested in a career as a flight attendant, jobs with the major airlines are not the only option and may not be the right fit for some job seekers. There is a smorgasbord of jobs available, offering different advantages for the diverse types of people interested in flying.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>The most popular and well-known type of flight attendant is <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Flight Attendant for a major airline</span>, such as US Airways, Continental, Delta, United, Southwest, TWA, American, Northwest or America West. These airlines, with the exception of Southwest, are global carriers.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>As a flight attendant with these airlines you will be able to fly all over the world, although it may require several years’ seniority in order to do so on a regular basis. They fly a variety of aircraft, which may include medium size jets such as the Boeing 737 to jumbo-jets such as the DC 10. These airlines have a number of bases nationwide and sometimes worldwide, and the reserve system varies from several months to several years.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>The pay scale is generally higher with the major carriers, with a full range of benefits available, such as paid time off, medical, dental and life insurance, credit unions, 401K’s, profit sharing, and pass benefits. And the older, more established airlines generally have more reciprocal flight benefits with other airlines than newer start-up airlines do.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>The second most popular type is the <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Flight Attendant for the national airline</span>. Nationals usually go shorter distances. They service the smaller cities that are not frequented by as many passengers as the ones served by major airlines but still require service. These airlines include AirTran, Spirit, Midway, Midwest Express, Frontier and National Airlines and may serve cities such as Greensboro, NC, Ft. Walton Beach, FL or Chicago’s Midway Airport. They most often use only one type of aircraft such as the B-737 or MD-80.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>The benefits for these airlines are similar to the majors, with perhaps not quite as many perks. Time spent on reserve varies, and is not usually as long as those of the major airlines. Layover time is also shorter most of the time, since these airlines are generally lower fare carriers and have quick turns with their aircraft.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Flight attendants for another class of airlines, called <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">regionals</span>, fly on smaller aircraft, usually turboprops or small jets called Regional Jets (RJ’s). For the most part, these flights carry commuters and passengers connecting to the mainstream airlines. Most of their aircraft seat fewer than 50 passengers and require only one flight attendant.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>If you like working without anyone looking over your shoulder, this type of flying might be for you. These airlines fly shorter distances, usually within one state or a small region, such as the northeast. Some of these airlines are Comair, Sky West, US Airways Express, United Express and American Eagle. Benefits with these airlines are still comparable with larger ones, as well as having flight discounts with the larger carriers.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Another kind of airline that uses flight attendants is the <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">charter airline</span>. This type of airline does not have many scheduled flights but is chartered by tour groups. The flight schedules may change from month-to-month, as well as cities served. Some of these airlines go all over the world for most of their flights, and it is not unusual for a new flight attendant to find him or herself on a trip to Europe the first month out of training! These airlines usually have fewer employees, but the flying is more specialized. Most flights for charter airlines travel to vacation spots and exotic locations, but can also involve military transport.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Benefits are comparable in most cases, with the possible exception of reciprocal passes from scheduled airlines. Some well-known charter airlines are American Trans Air, Miami Air, Sun Country and World Airways. Some of these airlines do not have continuous reserve, but only require it one day per month, for all their flight attendants.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>There is also a type of flight attendant known as the <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">corporate flight attendant</span>. Flying corporate involves working for a corporation or an individual instead of an established airline. The airplanes they use are usually small ones such as Falcons or Challengers, but may even be smaller, private aircraft or large ones, such as Boeing 737’s. The flight attendants fly to wherever they are needed, and sometimes they must be available at a moment’s notice. The crew may be gone for weeks at a time, but due to the fact that these personnel must be available so frequently, this type of flying can command quite a lucrative salary.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>A corporate flight attendant can expect to make anywhere from<span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);font-size:130%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;"> $30,000/yr. to $60,000, </span></span>and this can even go higher, depending on the policy of the corporation or individual. The service offered on corporate flights is exemplary, in order to pamper their customers. Usually specialized training is required prior to applying, which the company rarely provides.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>And it’s best to know someone within the company who can put in a good word for you, as these jobs are seldom advertised. Some examples of people who use corporate flight attendants are athletic teams such as the Orlando Magic, celebrities, private companies and wealthy, private individuals who travel frequently.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>No matter what kind of flying you choose, it is nice to know there are options other than the obvious ones for which most people apply. Each type of airline has its own character, so if a major airline is a Roadrunner and you are a Donald Duck, you may be happier working for a regional or a charter. A lot of these jobs can be quite satisfying, and afford some advantages not provided by the majors, such as short reserve and seniority time, immediate international travel, and a closer-knit camaraderie not always obtained within large companies. Taking the time to carefully weigh your decision may make the difference between being in the right job with the wrong company or having just the “right fit” based on your needs!<br />

A flight attendant&#8217;s lifestyle is demanding in terms of work schedules, especially during odd hours such as early mornings, holidays and weekends. This is an ideal career for a single person, or a married person who does not yet have family and child-rearing responsibilities.<br />

Despite the recent news media attention that focuses on airlines in financial trouble, there are many more airlines that are prosperous and growing.<br />

<p>The demand for flight attendants is very high, for two reasons: </p>
<ul>
<li>The number of passengers is growing rapidly, and there is a high rate of turnover in flight attendant numbers.
</li>
<li>The number of passengers now flying is much higher than pre-911.
</li>
</ul>
<p>Some passengers have shifted to smaller national airlines, and regional carriers. Although their business is very strong, it is not exciting news, and you don&#8217;t hear about it in the media. As a result of this increased traffic, the need for flight attendants is growing steadily. Another reason for the high demand is that some leave the career field after only a short time. In some cases, the person discovers that the flight schedules are too demanding in terms of odd hours and frequent layovers. In many other cases, young flight attendants who are still single quickly find an attractive partner, and decide to stay home to begin a marriage. Many of these flight attendants return to the profession later in life.<br />

<p><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);font-size:130%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">Becoming a Flight Attendant</span></span><br />

It is possible to be accepted into the flight attendant training programs of some airlines directly after graduating from high school.<br />
</br><br />
The competition is very intense, and a low percentage survive beyond the initial screening process.  A candidate who spends some time preparing for flight attendant school stands a much better chance of being accepted.<br />
</br></p>
<p>An Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or higher, especially if the degree is focused specifically on flight attendant training, can substantially increase the chances of being chosen.  However, there are no guarantees.<br />
</br><br />
In order to succeed a candidate must be:</p>
<ul>
<li>reasonably intelligent,
</li>
<li>able to speak confidently and well,
</li>
<li>physically fit.
</li>
</ul>
<p>The two most common reasons for candidates not being accepted, or dropped during an airline training program, are because of underdeveloped speaking skills, and poor physical fitness. Once accepted into an airline flight attendant training program, a candidate will graduate in one to three months, depending upon the airline&#8217;s training practices.<br />

</br></p>
<p><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);font-size:130%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">Career Opportunities</span></span><br />
The number of different types of flight attendant careers is vast.  They range from small regional airlines flying commuter planes with only one attendant to very large intercontinental airlines flying jumbo jets having 20 or more attendants.  Generally speaking, the small commuter airlines having only one or two attendants on their flights may have higher starting salaries, but the opportunity for advancement is lower.<br />
</br></p>
<p>Regional airlines using 2 to 4 attendants per plane start at lower salaries, but have higher ending pay rates.  The very large international airlines pay the top salaries for their most experienced  flight attendants, particularly those who speak foreign languages.  There is also a growing demand for high quality flight attendants for corporate and private aircraft.<br />
</br></p>
<p>These pay the highest salaries, because the need for good hospitality skills is very important.  The demand for flight attendants is now very high.  And even though there will always be peaks and valleys in the demand rates, the need for flight attendants over the long term will not disappear.  People will continue to fly in ever growing numbers, and flight attends are needed to host them.<br />

</br></p>
<p><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);font-size:130%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">Choosing a Program</span></span><br />
When choosing a flight attendant education program, a candidate should choose a school that has a solid reputation in the aviation industry.<br />
</br></p>
<p>A school that also has a high quality flight program, and other aviation programs such as maintenance, aviation business, etc., are better known by the aviation industry, and their graduates are assumed to be better qualified than those from a school that has no other aviation programs.<br />
</br></p>
<p>A candidate should also choose a school that opens an educational pathway to higher levels of training such as access to bachelor and masters programs.  A two year associates degree is a good starting point.  A two-year school that partners with higher level colleges and universities can be very helpful.  Often, an associates degree is all that is necessary to gain a candidate&#8217;s entrance into an airline flight attendant training program.<br />

JAKARTA &#8211; Lagi-lagi pesawat Lion Air jenis McDonnell Douglas MD-90 mengalami celaka. <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4UjOrNtjLWU/SbeFsyDZZiI/AAAAAAAAAas/z06WwHeCL8w/s1600-h/Lion+Air+Crash.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311861289903547938" style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 147px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4UjOrNtjLWU/SbeFsyDZZiI/AAAAAAAAAas/z06WwHeCL8w/s320/Lion+Air+Crash.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>Setelah Senin (23/2) dua pekan lalu pesawat milik Maskapai Penerbangan Lion Air mendarat dengan selamat tanpa roda depan, Senin (9/3) pukul 15.35 WIB di Batam, pesawat dari maskapai yang sama tergelincir di landasan Terminal 1 Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, Cengkareng.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Sore itu cuaca di sekitar Bandara Cengkareng agak buruk. Hujan lebat disertai angin kencang yang menerpa badan pesawat sebelah kiri, membuat sayap kanan pesawat oleng saat mendarat. Bahkan, ban pesawat dengan nomor penerbangan JT 793 berputar 90 derajat.<br />
<span style="font-size:85%;">&#8220;Roda bagian belakang terendam lumpur dan patah 100-200 meter di luar run way 25 kiri,&#8221; kata Captain Edward Sirait, Humas Lion Air. Pesawat berangkat dari Ujung Pandang pukul 14. 35 Wita dengan tujuan Jakarta dengan membawa 166 penumpang termasuk 6 awak.</span><br />
<br/></p>
<p>Detik-detik menegangkan terjadi ketika pesawat Lion Air dalam proses mendarat. Pesawat tiba-tiba miring ke kiri. Setelah itu ganti miring ke kanan. &#8220;Kemudian pesawat langsung nyusruk (nyungsep),&#8221;  kata Mala, wartawati  majalah  Gatra yang kebetulan menumpang pesawat naas itu.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Menurutnya, pesawat berangkat dari Makassar pukul 14.30 Wita dan sempat mengalami keterlambatan. Selain Mala, ada juga wartawan lain yang berada di perut pesawat. Rombongan wartawan ini ke Makassar guna mengikuti acara Menpora Adhyaksa Dault.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Pesawat  mengalami kerusakan cukup parah. &#8220;Keadaan pesawat landing gear depan patah, sayap kiri patah,&#8221; kata Kapuskom Publik Dephub Bambang S Ervan. Ervan menambahkan, saat mendarat, kondisi cuaca di bandara sedang hujan lebat disertai angin kencang. Jarak pandang hanya sekitar 1.000 meter. Pesawat tersebut dipiloti Capt Ratiman. &#8220;Seluruh penumpang selamat dan telah dievakuasi,&#8221; katanya.<br />

Dari petikan berita di atas, dapat di tarik kesimpulan bahwa keberhasilan dari proses evakuasi adalah hasil kerja sama yang lancar antara penumpang dan awak kabin (pramugari). Dalam hal ini kita tidak akan membicarakan mengenai kecelakaan yang menimpa Lion Air, akan tetapi kami akan membagi pengalaman mengenai proses evakuasi atau Emergency Procedure sebelum dan setelah pesawat mendarat.<br />

Pokok bahasan saat ini adalah Emergency Landing at Terrain (Pendaratan darurat di darat)<br />

Ada beberapa faktor yang sangat membantu dalam kelancaran proses Evakuasi. Salah satunya adalah kesiapan sahabat dalam mempersiapkan diri menghadapi Emergency Landing.<br />

Berikut beberapa tips dalam menghadapi Emergency Landing.<br />

<strong>Persiapan Sebelum Landing</strong><br />
<br/><br />
Persiapan ini dilakukan pada saat pesawat akan mendarat.</p>
<ol>
<li>Padamkan segera rokok sahabat, jika dalam penerbangan itu di perbolehkan merokok.</li>
<li>Lepaskan semua barang tajam (Kaca mata, pena, dan semua isi kantong baju) lalu masukkan ke dalam tas atau ke dalam kantong kursi di depan sahabat.</li>
<li>Tegakkan sandaran kursi dan tutup meja sahabat.</li>
<li>Tempatkan barang bawaan sahabat di bawah kursi.</li>
<li>Lepaskan sepatu tumit tinggi sahabat, lalu masukkan ke dalam tas.</li>

<p>Sebelum pesawat mengalami Impact atau pendaratan darurat, tindakan yang harus di lakukan adalah sebagai berikut:<br />

<li>Bungkukkan badan</li>
<li>Kepala di letakkan ke atas lengan yang di lipat di atas lutut</li>
<li>Jika tidak bisa, sahabat dapat meletakkan kepala sahabat pada kedua tangan yang di silangkan pada sandaran kursi di depan sahabat sehingga kedua lengan dapat melindungi kepala.</li>

<li>Cepat keluar melalui Emergency Exit (akan di pandu oleh pramugari)</li>

<li>Setibanya di luar pesawat, segera jauhi pesawat sejauh mungkin (menghindari bahaya meledaknya pesawat)</li>

<li>Pastikan koper sahabat sudah dikunci dan petugas sudah memasang segel tanda lolos pemeriksaan.</li>
<li>Pastikan setelah cek in, sahabat mendapatkan kembali tiket sahabat berikut tambahan boarding card yang memuat nomor kursi dan pintu keberangkatan.</li>
<li>Pastikan pintu keberangkatan sahabat berserta arahnya sehingga tidak membuang waktu untuk mencari-cari.</li>
<li>Sebaiknya sahabat sudah berada di pintu keberangkatan (ruang tunggu) paling tidak 30 menit sebelum waktu keberangkatan.</li>

Dan untuk menyambung dua peralatan tersebut hingga berdaya guna, diperlukan sebuah gelombang elektromagnetik yang dipasang pada frekuensi tertentu. Gelombang tersebut dipancarkan oleh si pengirim, kemudian ditangkap oleh BTS (Base Transceiver Station) dan disalurkan ke penerima. Sifat gelombang ini bisa saling mempengaruhi bila berada dalam frekuensi yang sama atau berdekatan. Handphone yang beredar saat ini kebanyakan menggunakan frekuensi antara 100 Megahertz sampai 2,7 Gigahertz dengan kekuatan 30 miliwats.<br />

<p>Permasalahannya, ternyata frekuensi gelombang elektromagnetik yang dipakai oleh handphone tersebut sama dengan frekuensi peralatan komunikasi yang digunakan oleh pilot di kokpit <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4UjOrNtjLWU/SYkrofyDSGI/AAAAAAAAAVE/yuaOQUw4GB8/s1600-h/ATC.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298814411304290402" style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left; width: 283px; height: 168px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4UjOrNtjLWU/SYkrofyDSGI/AAAAAAAAAVE/yuaOQUw4GB8/s320/ATC.jpg" border="0" alt="airport" /></a>dengan ATC (air Traffic Control) atau menara pengatur lalu lintas udara di darat, yang biasanya menggunakan frekuensi antara 118-137 Megahertz. Tentu saja, kedua frekuensi ini akan saling “bertabrakan”, sehingga bisa mengakibatkan gangguan terutama pada sistem komunikasi di pesawat. Nah, bila itu terjadi, sang pesawat bisa diasumsikan sebagai si buta tanpa pemandu. Apalagi bila pesawat tersebut menggunakan sistem autopilot yang hanya dipandu sistem komputerisasi tanpa campur tangan pilot. Selain handphone, peralatan lain yang tidak boleh digunakan dalam pesawat adalah komputer, CD Player, televisi dan game boy. Pesawat radio juga sangat diharamkan karena ia menggunakan frekuensi antara 100 hingga 2.000 Megahertz.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Beberapa gangguan yang disebabkan oleh peralatan elektronik <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4UjOrNtjLWU/SYksodiyH-I/AAAAAAAAAVM/g1Mibta_oow/s1600-h/VOR.gif"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298815510215008226" style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left; width: 156px; height: 161px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4UjOrNtjLWU/SYksodiyH-I/AAAAAAAAAVM/g1Mibta_oow/s320/VOR.gif" border="0" alt="pesawat" /></a>tersebut, seperti dilaporkan oleh ASRS ( Aviation Safety Reporting Sistem) di antaranya adalah gangguan navigasi, gangguan VOR, gangguan sistem kemudi otomatis, dan lain-lain (selengkapnya lihat tabel). Bagi penumpang, terutama yang berkelas bisnis atau eksekutif, pelarangan ini tentu sangat tidak mengenakkan. Bagi mereka, komunikasi sangat penting, terutama yang komunikasi yang berkaitan dengan bisnis atau masalah politik, pekerjaan dan lain-lain. Namun jangan khawatir, untuk pesawat-pesawat keluaran dan tipe terbaru, biasanya sudah dilengkapi dengan sistem komunikasi yang canggih. Terutama untuk komputer plus internet, TV, radio dan handphone.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Peralatan elektronik tersebut sudah dilengkapi dengan beberapa antena khusus yang bisa melokalisasi frekuensi yang digunakan sehingga tidak bertabrakan dan mengganggu frekuensi yang digunakan oleh pilot dan ATC. Namun, tetap semua alat-alat yang bisa digunakan itu yang terpasang di pesawat. Alat-alat elektronik milik pribadi tidak boleh, karena frekuensinya belum diatur sedemikian rupa hingga tidak crash dengan frekuensi pesawat.<br />
<br/></p>
<p>Untuk beberapa kasus di luar negeri dimana pesawat yang di gunakan sudah memakai pelindung berteknologi tinggi, hal di atas dapat di minimalkan. Bagi sahabat yang sering mengikuti episode <a href="http://kwc.org/mythbusters/2006/04/episode_49_cellphones_on_plane.html">MYTHBUSTER</a> dalam suatu episode mereka mencoba mencari kebenaran dari gangguan handphone terhadap penerbangan. Hasil akhirnya seperti ini:<br />

<p>Hanya saja, penggunaan alat-alat elektronik di pesawat-pesawat tersebut tetap tidak boleh sembarangan. Terutama pada saat-saat kritis, (<em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">90% Kecelakaan Pesawat Udara terjadi pada saat ini</span></strong></em>) yaitu saat pesawat akan lepas landas dan pada saat akan mendarat, biasanya peralatan elektronik tersebut diminta untuk dimatikan. Apalagi di Indonesia, tidak semua airline di Indonesia mempunyai pesawat yang menggunakan sistem canggih tersebut, maka penumpang mau tidak mau harus mengikuti intruksi <em><strong>pramugari</strong></em> dalam soal boleh dan tidak boleh menggunakan alat elektronik di dalam pesawat.<br />

Seringkali penumpang masih sibuk berbicara melalui telepon genggam selama pesawat take off. Demikian pula saat pesawat baru saja mendarat, telepon genggam maupun alat elektronik sering langsung dinyalakan si empunya. Meskipun pesawat belum betul-betul berhenti. Soal Handphone atau alat portable lainnya berbahaya bagi penerbangan, memang masih di perdebatkan. Pada dasarnya memang ada dugaan alat elektronik portable berbahaya bagi penerbangan. Hal ini dikaitkan dengan interferensi elektromagnetik yang berarti terganggunya kerja suatu alat elektronik lainnya. Meskipun kemungkinannya hanya seper sekian persen, toh tetap ada kecelakaan pesawatyang disebabkan interferensi alat elektronik portable seperti Handphone, Video Game dll. Kesimpulannya, sekecil apapun resikonya tetap ada. Jadi jangan ambil resiko.<br />

<p><strong>2. Melepaskan/Tidak mengeratkan Seat Belt</strong><br />

Seringkali saat pesawat baru mendarat dan belum betul-betul berhenti, banyak penumpang yang langsung melepaskan seat belt. Aturan penerbangan mengharuskan para sahabat yang mengenakan seat belt harus terpasang cukup erat di titik terendah panggul Sahabat, bukan di bagian perut. Demikian pula saat-saat dibutuhkan sesuai perintah pramugari.</div>

Padahal, bagian ini merupakan yang terpenting dari penerbangan karena akan mempengaruhi daya survival penumpang. Tak peduli seberapa sering Sahabat sudah naik pesawat terbang dan di suguhi prosedur serupa berulang-ulang. Tetaplah perhatikan. Semakin lekat prosedur ini dalam hati dan pikiran para Sahabat, semakin besar peluang Sahabat untuk selamat.<br />

<p><strong>4. Tidak membaca kartu keselamatan</strong><br />
Kartu keselamatan di kantung sandaran kursi bukan sekedar pelengkap. Padahal dengan membaca kartu keselamatan ini, penumpang bisa mengetahui jenis pesawat beserta detail prosedur keselamatan. Untuk itu cobalah lebih memperhatikan kartu keselamatan.<br />

<p><strong>5. Tidak memperhatikan letak Emergency Exit terdekat</strong><br />
Seringkali penumpang terburu-buru naik ke pesawat hingga lupa memperhatikan sekeliling termasuk Emergency Exit (pintu darurat) terdekat. Hal ini bisa menjadi masalah saat keadaan darurat hingga harus meninggalkan pesawat. Karena kebanyakan penumpang tidak memperhatikan letak pintu darurat akan berebutan keluar melalui pintu tempat mereka masuk. Dan ini akan mempersulit proses evakuasi. Jadi tidak ada salahnya mulai saat ini menghitung kursi dari pintu darurat ke kursi Sahabat. ( Selamat Menghitung… )<br />

<p><strong>6. Meletakkan barang depan pintu darurat</strong><br />
Entah karena malas menyimpan pada tempatnya, banyak penumpang menyimpan barang tentengan di depan pintu darurat. Tidak jarang pramugari harus bersitegang dengan penumpang demi menyingkirkan barang dari depan pintu darurat. Ingatlah, meskipun ruang di bagian depan pintu darurat cukup luas, bukan berarti boleh menyimpan barang disana. Dalam keadaan darurat, barang di depan pintu darurat hany akan menyulitkan evakuasi.<br />

<p><strong>7. Menyimpan barang berat di dalam Overhead Bin</strong><br />

Overhead Bin memang di sediakan untuk menyimpan barang. Namun banyak penumpang tidak memperhatikan seberapa berat barang yang mereka simpan disana. Padahal dalam keadan darurat seperti pesawat kehilangan ketinggian atau bahkan jatuh, pintu overhead bin mungkin saja terbuka. Akibatnya barang di dalam bisa jatuh menimpa penumpang. Sebaiknya Sahabat ini pun barang tersebut di bawah kursi Sahabat.<br />

<p><strong>8. Merokok di dalam Lavatory</strong><br />

Namun masih ada penumpang mebandel dengan merokok di lavatory. Ingatlah, ini tindakan paling berbahaya. Kamar kecil di pesawat penuh dengan kertas. Tempat sampah penuh dengan tisu bekas pakai. kabin pesawat pun diatur bertekanan dengan oksigen. Membuang puntung ke tempat sampah penuh kertas sama saja menciptakan bom terbang.. Kamar kecil pesawat di lengkapi dengan smoke detector. Apabila alat ini menyala, pramugari di perkenankan mendobrak pintu. Jika duduk di bagian merokok, merokoklah di tempat duduk, jangan di gang. Ini untuk mencegah Sahabat melukai diri sendiri maupun penumpang lainnya seandainya terjadi turbulence.<br />

<p><strong>9. Menyepelekan keberadaan pramugari</strong><br />
Para penumpang biasanya tidak terlalu mengangap keberadaan pramugari. Alhasil mereka tidak terlalu ambil pusing memperhatikan apa yang disampaikan para pramugari.  Penumpang bahkan cenderung defensif apabila ditegur oleh pramugari. Padahal teguran dari pramugari bisa menjadi kunci keselamatan. Untuk itu perlu ditanamkan dalam pikiran bahwa pramugari bukan hanya untuk melayani tapi mereka juga dibekali kemampuan dan keterampilan yang berguna bagi keselamatan penumpang.<br />

<p><strong>10. Menyepelekan pakaian dan sepatu yang dikenakan</strong><br />

Baik pria maupun wanita, sebaiknya mengenakan sepatu jalan bertali atau sepatu kets sehingga tidak mudah lepas. Untuk pakaian, kenakan baju berbahan alami seperti katun, sutra, woll, sued dan kulit. Bahan ini lebih sulit terbakar dibandingkan polyester.<br />

<p><span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; COLOR: #ff0000">PENTING</span> : Kesalahan penumpang diatas bisa jadi sepele. Namun kalau di tinjau dari tindakan precaution (pencegahan), memperbaiki kesalahan di atas bisa mendukung tercapainya keselamatan penerbangan.
